If you run into installers, EPCs, sales reps, or building owners who need permit-ready solar plan sets and you're not the one delivering them — refer them to HPH and earn on every closed project.
A simple referral structure for in-industry contacts who already get asked for design recommendations. No sales quota, no lead-gen burden, no obligation. Just a referral, and the project credit follows.
This program works for anyone who already has industry relationships:
Solar sales reps at installer companies who don't do in-house design
General contractors and electricians who occasionally hit solar projects
Commercial roofers who add solar after the roof
Other design firms with overflow they can't take
Independent consultants and manufacturer reps who get asked for recommendations
Building owners who refer their network into solar work
You don't have to be in solar full-time. If you bring us a project that closes, you earn.

How it works
You refer the customer. Email intro, direct them to mention your name, or submit them through our intake form below.
We engage them. Scope, quote, and execute on our standard 24-hour SLA (residential) or 3-business-day SLA (small commercial).
You earn the referral fee. Paid via Zelle or ACH within 14 days of the customer paying HPH.
Payment terms
Paid after customer payment to HPH — not on quote, not on engagement
Zelle or ACH; check available on request
Within 14 days of payment receipt
1099 issued for partners earning $600+ in a calendar year
Ground rules
A few simple ground rules — these are also in the agreement, but worth flagging up front:
Don't represent yourself as an HPH employee or agent — you're an independent referral partner.
Don't use HPH's name or logo in cold outreach without checking with us first.
Follow the law when contacting prospects (CAN-SPAM, TCPA — the usual stuff).
If you're employed by an installer or sales org, make sure your employment agreement allows you to accept outside referral fees before signing up.
How long does it last?
Either side can end the program with 30 days' written notice — email is fine. Any referrals you've already submitted that close within 12 months still get paid. No renewal forms, no minimums, no quotas.
FAQ
How do you know a referral came from me?
We tag the lead in our CRM with your name as soon as you introduce them — by email, phone, or a customer mentioning you on first contact.
When do I get paid?
Within 14 days of HPH receiving full customer payment for the project. Zelle or ACH (check available on request).
What if I refer someone who's already talking to HPH?
We'll let you know promptly and either credit you anyway (if it's appropriate) or decline transparently. No silent ghosting.
What if my referral takes a few months to close?
You're credited if the customer engages HPH for paid work within 12 months of your referral. Closed projects pay out per the fee table whenever the customer pays HPH.
Do I have to give you my SSN to sign up?
No. We collect a W-9 only if and when your earnings approach the $600 annual 1099 reporting threshold. Bank or Zelle details are collected separately when your first payable referral closes.
Can my company be the partner instead of me personally?
Yes — there's a "Company" field in the intake form. We can pay your business and 1099 the business if applicable.
Can I refer outside my niche — commercial if I'm residential, or residential if I'm commercial?
Yes. The full HPH catalog — residential, commercial, drafting, design, permits, interconnection, stamps — is eligible.
Is there a quota or minimum?
No. Refer one project or twenty. No obligation either way.
What if I want to stop?
Send us an email — that's the 30-day notice. Anything you've already submitted that closes within 12 months still gets paid.
Do I need to sign anything?
Yes — the Referral Partner Agreement, signed once. You sign electronically through the intake form. We countersign and email back a PDF copy within one business day.
