Who We Work Best With

We’re designed to plug into teams that have their process together.

01

High-Volume Installers

Teams running repeatable installs who need a design partner that can match their pace—not slow them down with back-and-forth.

02

Storage-Forward EPCs

Companies deploying battery systems that need to stay program-compliant and VPP-ready after PTO—not just permitted.

03

Organized Operations

Partners who send complete project details upfront, communicate via email, and value a defined scope. We return the favor with fast, accurate packages.

Services

Engineering services for teams that take solar + storage seriously.

Permit-Ready Plan Sets

Solar + storage plan sets built for your specific AHJ and utility requirements. Site plans, single-line diagrams, structural details, equipment schedules, labels, and notes—delivered as a complete, submission-ready package.

Engineering Coordination

PE stamps, structural letters, and electrical reviews coordinated as part of your project. One point of contact—we manage the engineering so you don’t chase between submittals.

Volume Templates

For high-volume partners: we build templates tuned to your equipment stack and service areas so turnaround tightens with every project. Standardized inputs, repeatable outputs.

Add-On

Permitting & Interconnection Direction

A bounded advisory package for plan-set clients who need jurisdiction-specific direction on the permitting and interconnection process. Includes:

  • Pathway memo and documentation checklist
  • AHJ/utility intake requirements
  • Limited support touchpoints (defined in scope)

This is not a help desk. We do not provide unlimited calls, on-demand status updates, or open-ended support. Standalone availability is limited and priced separately.

Deep experience with storage-first residential architectures and program constraints.

How We Work

A defined process from intake to delivery. No ambiguity, no scope creep.

1

You Send Complete Details

Address, site photos, panel/inverter/battery specs, utility program, and AHJ—everything we need to scope it. Incomplete submittals are returned for completion before we begin.

2

We Scope & Quote

Clear scope of work, pricing, and timeline. No surprises, no hidden add-ons. One kickoff call included per project.

3

Design & Draft

We produce the plan set. You get a draft for review before we finalize. Revision rounds are defined in the scope.

4

QA/QC & Stamps

Internal quality check against AHJ-specific requirements. Engineering review and PE stamp coordinated as needed.

5

Deliver & Support

You get the complete package. We respond to AHJ correction notices within the defined support window.

Intake Requirements

We require complete project information before work begins. This includes site address, photos (roof, MSP, utility meter), equipment selections, and utility program details.

Projects that are submitted without required inputs are paused until the information is provided. If a project pauses for more than 14 days, a restart fee may apply.

How Communication Works

Email-first. All project communication runs through email for documentation and clarity. One kickoff call is included per project; additional calls are available by request.

Scheduled updates. You’ll receive project updates at defined intervals (typically 2x/week during active design), rather than on-demand. This keeps both sides focused and projects on track.

Who’s Behind HPH

Kelsey McFarland

NABCEP PV Design Specialist • ICC Permit Technician

HPH Solutions was built from the practitioner side of solar + storage design. Every plan set reflects the same standard I’d hold for my own install—accurate, complete, and built for the jurisdiction it’s going to. I work with teams that value precision, and I keep my client list intentionally small so quality stays high.

I also track the VPP and distributed energy landscape at vpp.services—it’s where I follow the programs, policies, and market shifts that shape how we design.

Deep experience with storage-first residential architectures and program constraints.
